The least effective of the Herzog/Kinski films in my opinion. Not a bad film by any means but without the magic of Aguirre, Fitzcarraldo, or even the flawed Nosferatu. Kinski, however, gives his best performance of all in this.
Eva Mattes is wonderful, too.
