Review of Woman on the Beach (2006) by Evelien D — 02 Feb 2008
I both liked and disliked this film.. The first thing I'd like to mention is that this film is intended strictly for an adult audience. Not because it has sexual content, but because the sentiments simply cannot be understood by a younger audience.
If you don't 'get' the sentiments, this movie will be a boring waste of time. I think I caught the sentiments, and enjoyed the very implicit hints of humor (this is Korean-style!). This movie was an important comeback for Hyunjung Goh ê³ í??ì ? (the lead actress), and I think it was successful in transforming her from the less important, airhead character to the independent and eccentric but mysteriously attractive WOMAN image that she seems to want to portray as an actress.
In terms of filmography, I really didn't get it. (Thought even I could shoot something as simple as that, to be honest.).
