Review of Winter's Tale (2014) by Lon R — 22 Feb 2014

This is a beautiful story.  Well told with earnest heartfelt performances and beautiful inspiring visual effects. .

I was a little skeptical going in based on the user rating, but was pleasantly surprised.  This movie is fantastic.  It has a fairytale quality that allows large plot twists to flow effortlessly and feel perfectly in line with the story.

Some critics have commented that there are nonsequitur logic leaps abound.  I didn't feel this was the case.  Every movie requires some suspension of reality.   Maybe this one a little more than most.  But if you aren't willing to suspend reality at least for a couple of hours to enjoy a beautiful story, you might as well stay home and watch the news.
