Review of Wind River (2017) by Jess C — 15 Sep 2017
This is a unique story that takes you into the travesty that is native american culture dying out with a slow silent whimper.
This director really can do no wrong(sicarrio). The tension is there, the detective out of her element thing is there, the gizzled local , ... it's just perfect storytelling with suspense/who done it/ what happened. It gets pretty dark by the end, and the closing credits message is pretty damn sobering.
