Review of Wilderness (2006) by Mikael B — 08 Aug 2009
Sean Pertwee ably lends his indie thriller/horror credentials to this. Wasn't expecting much but pleasantly surprised.
Bit like Severance (which I thoroughly enjoyed) but with less in the way of deliberate humour and more exaggerated violence. There are plenty of ridiculous responses, standard horror fare stereotypes, hysterical folk doing things no person in their right minds would do if asked to draw up a maniac-on-the-loose survival plan from the comfort of their own sofa...but that only serves up more chances for entertaining action and death scenes.
Great film to kill some time and brain cells.
