Stupid, but extremely entertaining because of it. Barry Sonnenfeld knows how to direct action scenes, so that helps. And let's be honest - the steampunk spider is freaking awesome. I'm fully aware that this is sort of a petty accusation, but to be perfectly honest, I think people are too hard on this film because of the racial humor.
