Review of Wild Card (2015) by Chris E — 31 Mar 2015
It's always a welcome change of pace to see Statham "act" in a film. He does a great job in this one and he carries the film until the end. With the exception of Statham's acting, the perfectly filmed action sets (that take a back seat to the dramatic story) the story itself ping pongs around with no solid plot to go on, instead only different situations he gets into.
It could have benefitted from a meatier script to flesh out the runtime. Not an excellent movie nor one of Statham's best but it's one hell of an entertaining film that you won't regret catching.
B-.
