Review of Wild Bill (1995) by Ryan D — 18 May 2008
Jeff Bridges revels in his role as the infamous Wild Bill Hikock. This film shows Bridges in all his glory, playing the role superbly and always captivating his audiene while on screen. With supporting cast of Ellen Barkin and John Hurt its well worth a look.
Walter Hill has come a long way since his western The long Riders, and this '95 classic is truly a marvel of a western. Its only failing is young David Arquette, not sure his abilities are up to par with the other titans of the silver screen such as Bridges, Barkin and Hurt.
Its a wonderful piece of cinema, well written, well directed, well acted and well worth a look.
