Gripping, electrifying, riveting, gut-wrenching, exhilarating, and brilliant. One of the best directed films of 2014; from the beautiful cinematography to astounding camerawork, top-notch sound design, and an Oscar-winning editing work, this is a great piece of filmmaking, as well as storytelling.
Propelled by the magnificent performances by Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons, "Whiplash" grabs you by the wrist and never lets go. The ending is one of the most visceral and exciting endings I've ever seen.
This is a great film. Just wow!
