Review of Which Way Home (2009) by Roger S — 03 Feb 2011
Documentary from HBO about the Hondurans Children harrowing in their attempt to cross US borders between Mexico and Houston,TX.
The documentary in some ways is very opportunist with intention to win an award showing dead bodies and children who were raped or died for many causes, some of them trying to cross the desert.
In other ways, how the shelters both in Mexico and US are kind are care about their welfare until they get deported to their country.
In a very ambiguous way, is hard to say if the jeopardy of crossing the border, facing smuggling and violence to get to the promise land is less than the dog life they have back in Honduras with all the poverty and juvenile delinquency.
It's a though movie and it's a good lesson to anyone who thinks that risk their lives worth the dream to be in US.
