Review of When You're Strange (2010) by Gene M — 12 May 2010
I just saw this on PBS. Being a Doors fan, I was fascinated and mystified by Jim. The arcival footage was great to see. Being on public access television, I felt there may be something missing to what is being shown in theaters, so I will most definitely get the DVD if its released to compare.
I was rather impressed with what I saw as always when watching about Jim and the Doors. I've seen and read quite a few things about the Doors, but the one thing I would like to know more in detail about is with Jim and his relationship with Patricia Keneally.
Oliver Stone kinda touched on it, but Patricia herself found it rather a bit cartoonish, placing a curse on the film. And in "When You're Strange", it is mentioned for a minute. I would really like to know the true happening of that aspect of Jim's life.
