An enlightening documentary about the career of The Doors, with an obvious focus on Jim Morrison. Johnny Depp provides a calm but informed voice, and Tom DiCillo edits together archive footage and manages to create a doc that feels like a standard doc and a concert film all rolled up into one.
"You can't burn out if you're not on fire." Well said.
