Review of Welcome to Sarajevo (1997) by Michael M — 17 Aug 2007
Winterbottom is my hero. shot just a few weeks after the end of hostilities in the former yugoslavia, which brings an gripping authenticity to the tale. brilliant performances all round. not sentimental at all.
if you can stomach more war-related winterbottom, go see 'in this world' (then perhaps 'the road to guantanmo' - i'll be seeing this soon).
