Review of Waterloo (1970) by Jaime P — 11 Feb 2008
Waterloo was made in 1970, so its sound effects and special effects may leave you a little underwhelmed at times. Also, you have to accept the fact that Frenchmen spoke English. But, once you get past all that, the battle scenes are still epic, with thousands of extras filling the screen as far as you can see.
Wellington and Napoleon are portrayed excellently, each with their own particular quirks and personalities, and the cinematography of the battle as it builds up and climaxes is awesome.
