Review of Waterland (1992) by Hugo G — 19 Nov 2007
The book would have been unfilmable so its no surprise to see there's a lot of differences - the movie is a human interest story while the book was an examination of history. some of the changes work - this is far more interesting than the book - but some don't work (such as the pointless switch of locations from london to pittsburgh, and the increased perviness of the teacher).
Still, not as bad as id expected, and the acting is good.
