Review of War Horse (2011) by Ellenrebekah A — 16 Oct 2013
It took over a year since the DVD release, but I have finally been able to rent War Horse. It was worth the wait. Primarily I was interested in the performances of Cumberbatch and Hiddleston. They may have been an small episode in the beginning of Joey's life at war, but Hiddleston particularly made a beautiful performance.
The movie itself reminds me of the story during Christmas Eve when, during a cease fire, opposing soldiers came together to celebrate and sing carols. War is ugly all around and beauty can come from surprising places.
