Review of Wake Wood (2011) by James S — 19 Jul 2013
Some elements of the story may be familiar and follow a "be careful what you wish for" scenario, but this is truly an excellent film. It might not be the greatest film of the genre but it is a great horror movie that while not overly gory or shock oriented maintains a balance between the genuinely disturbing and ghost story tropes.
If you like horror, do not pass this one up.
