Review of Vulgar (2002) by Daniel S — 02 Feb 2010
I will be honest and tell you the only reason I watched this movie was because Kevin Smith and Co. were involved. Bryan Johnson decides to break out and make a feature film of his own. Brian O'Halloran plays a decent role in this low budget long-shot.
Ethan Suplee plays a great role, once again. The whole part where they are taking turns slow-dancing is great. "I want to make HATE to you". Now that is classic. Then part of the bonus features is a collection of all the rejection letters from various film companies that wouldn't have any part of the movie.
How great is that. I read somewhere that Kevin Smith actually let the director use his house as a few of the sets. Nothing like trying to help the little guys out. Pretty sure Johnson was going for the "cult classic" image.
Very low budget but still halfway decent.
