Review of Visitors (2013) by Jessica T — 09 Aug 2014
Godfrey Reggio's latest art piece (he calls it an "experiential" film) is a stunning and entrancing portrait of contemporary life. Filmed without dialogue or sound, the film's sole guiding point is Philip Glass' score's syncopation with Reggio's black-and-white images which showcase human faces, nature, animals, and architecture.
It's a movie that invites viewers to make their own interpretations on it's being, but hopefully most will take home thoughts pertaining to technology, voyeurism, and man's overall place in the grand scheme of things.
