Review of Uro (2006) by Karl-Johan L — 13 Nov 2008
Hans-Petter (Nicolai Cleve Broch) also known as HP, is a undercover cop that works the streets of Oslo taking care of drugrelated crimes. With a troubled and delinquent past, he tries to find a better path in life by having joined the police force. Eventually he finds himself involved in all sorts of trouble when trying to make a bigger drugbust undercover. Everything in his past seems to come back to HP and he does not know where to turn in the end.
This is not bad, it is a reasonably wellcrafted movie. Strong acting, good dramatization. The flaw is I reckon the script. It just does not hold up to 100%. It is a bit floaty and not focused enough. And one can sense that the makers have looked at both "Pusher" and "Rush" for more than inspiration. "Uro" is not bad as said, but it does not hit the nail fully on.
