Absorbing and unsettling, amateur and oafish, all at once. As someone with no previous exposure to this context, it helped me move in the direction of interest, but its clumsy, faux-eerie, artful distance from the real story or any sense of narrative framework (perhaps an homage to the "rebellion against song structure" described by Varg Vikernes) did little more for me in and of itself.
