Review of Trouble in Paradise (1932) by Jason C — 20 Sep 2008
This film really gets by on its charm. Every actor delivers a crowd-pleasing performance and it just feels good to watch everyone do their thing. That said, everything else about Trouble in Paradise works very well also.
There is no dead weight in the movie at all, timing in at just 83 minutes and it really adds to the quality to not have the action linger too long on any one thing. Despite being fairly predictable throughout the bulk of the movie (not in a bad way at all), I really didn't know how it was going to turn out at the very end.
Needless to say, it ended well, just like it began.
