Review of Trader Horn (1931) by Greg W — 09 Feb 2011
The primitive state of sound film and location shooting mar an otherwise solid jungle adventure. Despite the murky production values and dated melodrama, itâ(TM)s a lively story with some interesting semi-authentic footage of the wilds of Africa.
Despite its flaws, an ambitious and influential classic.
