Review of Total Recall (2012) by Master Xi-Ying W — 28 Jun 2016
This is a fantastic and multi layered Science Fiction film.
Philip K. Dick would be proud, if he were alive to experience it.
It truly confuses me why the "general public" gave this film below average reviews. The acting is solid, the narrative is both archetypal and innovative, while all of the visual treatments are next level.
The "extended cut" offers a bit better pacing in certain areas, with an emphasis on fleshing out some of the filmic world's ambience and emotional weight.
With the amount of garbage films we are force fed annually, it is sad that a movie of such dynamic quality as "Total Recall" is dismissed.
Be your own judge, and give this amazing and tech-psychedelic fim a fair viewing.
