Review of Tokyo Sonata (2008) by Bandido G — 12 Jul 2009
Sonatine: to be played rather than sung i.e the father's interview.
More meaningful as you know which member of the family is the one you are at the end = the swelling of sound which has always been following us and surrounds us. The sirens, the tones, trying to swell us over but in the end the family of Sonata(tine) has passed this time and Kurosawa Kiyoshi has stepped up with another existential masterpiece without all the horror suspense elements but replaces with climbing down ladders elements.
What Pixies wished they could have conveyed (driving).
And as always it's nice to see the man without his Z.
