Review of Tokyo Godfathers (2003) by Mustafa A — 06 May 2008
Fantastic movie. Tokyo Godfathers shows you a side of city life that people often overlook - a world of cardboard boxes, rummaging through trash for food and queer hobos. The character development is sufficient, enough to make you feel for them.
The story is well-paced and the animation, while nothing spectacular, is beautiful. The sound and background music fit the movie perfectly. Though there are plenty of comedy moments, there are also some moments of sadness.
Fortunately, the movie gets better towards the end. Some may feel the ending is abrupt, but I think it's better to end the show on a high. I highly recommend watching this!
