Review of To Have and Have Not (1945) by Avery O — 25 Dec 2007
This movie is basically a more sophisticated (read: less emotional) version of "Casablanca". The onscreen chemistry between Bogart and Bacall is electric, and it was shortly after this movie was made that the two were married.
The dialogue is slightly on the cheesy side and filled with innuendo, but the two stars pull it off beautifully. A highly recommended film.
