Review of Throw Down (2004) by Cesar A — 21 Apr 2010
Incredibly good homage to Akira Kurosawa films by probably the most prolific filmmaker in HK today, Johnnie To. Not an action film by any stretch, this films relies on it's simple story but subtle method to slowly reveal parts of the characters as the film progresses.
A bit more fast paced than the films it references, I wish it was longer.
