Review of Thor: Tales of Asgard (2011) by James C — 17 Jun 2011
Very enjoyable tale of a young Thor and his quest to prove to his father, Odin, that he is a true warrior. It's really amazing that these animated Super Hero movies (be it either Marvel or DC) are so much better than the live-action feature films.
While this story shares some similarities to parts of the live-action "Thor" in theaters, it is it's own creation and really thrives from not having to try to fit into a proposed series or link to any other Marvel movie.
Animation & voice work is great and the score by Guy Michelmore puts the normally reliable Patrick Doyle score for the feature film to shame.
