Here is an unhappy accident. dunne looks like she's about to play norma desmond in 'sunset boulevard' instead of the proper organ-playing woman with a heart of gold that she is. it's the plot that takes her on a whirlwind trip as her alter ego, romantic novelist caroline adams.
but it also takes her to melvyn douglas--not a bad trip for 1936.
