Review of Thelma & Louise (1991) by Carolyn G — 11 Apr 2009
Absolutely, hands-down, one of my favorite flicks of all time. I'm still trying to reconcile the ending after 18 years, hoping against hope that they bailed out into the Colorado River and made it to Mexico despite the odds.
I understand the sentiment from most men that this is a total man-bashing flick but despite how many times "these women had to get f*cked over", I still have much love for Hal Slocum and Old Jimmy, thus proving that not every man in this movie was a complete yutz.
Plus, it's one of the few performances I enjoyed from Brad Pitt, as "that J.D. kid"! What's not to love here? Well, the ending. But "Thelma & Louise" still live on for me!
