Review of The Witch Who Came from the Sea (1976) by Darren G — 14 Mar 2008
I loved the dreamy nature of the story and despite being extremely cheap, they did a lot of great stuff with it, I think. The lead actress gave a fascinating, although strange, performance, and I think too many people jump on it as "bad" when honestly, the bitch is just CRAZY.
Everyone else is a little nuts, too, I think, and it makes the film's overall sense of logic kinda work. It's not something conventional or "real." It's a surrealistic piece of work.
But hell, what do I know? :P.
