Review of The Way of the Gun (2000) by Laura G — 29 Sep 2007
One of the things that struck me about this film was what wasn't said. The script is remarkably tight. The chase scene is one of the more innovative ones I have seen; wordless, tense, cautious and methodical- a hunt rather then a high speed spectacle.
The violence is gritty and real in a way most films don't capture. Christopher McQuarrie takes on the role of both director and writer and does a great job proving himself in both.
