Review of The Way Ahead (1944) by Bill W — 27 Jan 2008
This war time propaganda film was made by men who "don't like the army." While supporting the war and the reasons for fighting it the film also expresses a deep distaste for having to do so.
There's no John-Wayne heroism here; just ordinary people doing the job they have to do.
