Review of The Walker (2007) by James R — 20 Jun 2008
It is only because the lead character is a flamboyant gay man that this movie didn't get the attention it deserved. yes the soundtrack is a little corny, and doesn't fit the film at times. but it's because our everyman is a homosexual that people couldn't look beneath the surface of this one.
First of all, the plot and dialogue are excellent. It also features a very memorable and fearless performance by Woody Harrelson who completely steps out of his comfort zone.
What really bothers me is the fact that Lauren Bacall gave an extremely, intelligent performance and was robbed of her chance at finally taking home the gold.
Great ensemble cast and one of Schraders best. you should see it.
