Review of The Ultimate Degenerate (1969) by Brian S — 28 Aug 2012
Watch in amazement as a guy who looks like John Belushi and his henchman, who looks like Bob Geldof, get women to take off their clothes, dance around, and pose for lesbian pictures to alternately groovy 60s music and classical tunes.
Watch in further amazement as a dead woman comes back later in the movie playing a character that was supposed to have already died. A splendid example of 1960s era pornography thinly dressed up as something Andy Warhol might have knocked off if he'd had even less talented actors to work with than he did.
Definitely far into the "so bad it's good" territory, and only Something Weird could resurrect it, even though the soundtrack has been severely damaged in spots. Stunningly awful film making that was definitely directed at the hippie set.
Sex, drugs, and drek in a perfect storm of laughable, cult-worthy awfulness. If you generally like Something Weird's offerings, this is definitely one not to miss!
