Review of The Twilight Girls (1957) by Craig B — 20 Jul 2009
The Twilight Girls is significant for two, and only two, reasons. 1) It's Catherine Deneuve's first film. Don't get all jittery with excitement. She's not in it much, and she's still a kid.
2) There's nudity, which is pretty risque for 1957. It's a French film, so perhaps it wasn't so risque over there. And no, Deneuve isn't nude...pervert. Other than that, this is a standard, low-budget skin-tease-o-rama.
