Review of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) by Jonathan K — 04 Jul 2011
Not that I ever felt the Texas Chainsaw Massacre needed a backstory, but apparently the filmmakers thought so. But, hey, Michael Bay is not involved this time. Always something. Still, it's quite a pointless movie, wallowing in gore and disturbing visuals that are not scary as much as repulsive.
There are a couple of likable lines, mainly from R. Lee Ermey's character, but apart from that there's not much to gain from this.
