Review of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) by David L — 09 May 2011
Blood and guts at its best in this prequel to the classic horror series. We are submitted to action from start to finish in this one, which also answers some outstanding questions as to how the Hewitt family came to power.
As with the events of 'Wolf Creek', the unnerving element to this film is the fact that it is based on true events. Hardly a pull factor in visiting Texas given that the case has never been closed, but the film itself is a definite recommendation if you want to see people squirm.
