It takes a very particular kind of viewer to enjoy this movie. One that understands that it is, indeed, making fun of itself. The chaos, the horrendous dialogue, is intended as a satirical jab, a scoff, at films like Batman Begins or Sin City.
Only once you realize that the film IS making fun of itself, can you laugh with it, at it.
