Review of The Signal (2014) by Dov D — 01 Aug 2014
William Eubank's The Signal is the most original sci-fi film of 2014. Combining the Ti West-esque suspenseful, atmospheric approach with Carl Dreyer's signature closeups, Eubank manages to evoke so much emotion from so little overt substance.
The beauty of this film lies in it's refusal to let you know what's going on, a lost art in the modern era. Eubank lets you draw your own conclusions from the film, and the possibilities are virtually limitless.
Bottom line, a must see for any sci-fi fan.
