Review of The Signal (2014) by Bill M — 18 Apr 2015
Whats starts out as a low key road movie turns into something increasingly weird and ambitious, The Signal is a brilliant science fiction, indie mind bender, with some audacious ideas, twists and a vision well above it's tiny budget and a climax so mad that it makes up for a slightly off the rails mid-section.
It also features great performances especially from it's young central cast, and Laurence Fishburne who turns up as a softly spoken yet utterly sinister government scientist. An intriguing, sometimes excitingly unpredictable genre bending nightmare.
