Review of The Shawshank Redemption (1994) by Bill G — 19 Dec 2018
The Crime represents the fall of man, our sins and our transgressions. Prison represents hell on earth for our Protagonist. Morgan Freeman is the Voice of reason for the main character and teaches him how to survive in prison.
Reading influences this man how to escape from this grim life. The library that our protagonist started enabled him to educate the other inmates. The poster of the actress represents desire which motivated our protagonist to escape.
The sewer represents the burdens we must overcome to attain salvation. California represents his dreams, hopes, goals. The two friends reuniting in the end represents old friends seeing each other in the next life.
