Review of The Seasoning House (2012) by Christinna V — 02 Nov 2013
A serious and disturbing look at an equally serious and disturbing subject. Great film, but very hard to watch. True to the tragedy that is human trafficking, the atmosphere is perfect, the characters are well written.
This film makes several big statements about human trafficking and brothels that people who are ignorant about it may not understand. The ending was a good, stayed true to life, especially for women caught in this kind of world.
Not a happy movie, not a happy ending, but horrifying by using true life horror. No paranormal anything, no ridiculous home invasions.
