Review of The Safety of Objects (2002) by Melissa S — 22 Sep 2007
Released in a time period when indie type "dysfunctional family" films were flooding the screen,I'd overlooked this one...after seeing it recently I wished I'd seen it sooner...it's not great, but does feature some good acting and some insight into the lives of some middle aged, middle class, suburban families that have problems just like all of us.
..not one of the best but definatly one of the more intresting movies of 2001, just a shame about the last 5 mins (the picnic scene) with it's utterly tacky ending...
