Review of The Ritual (2017) by Charlie C — 17 Feb 2018
People are probably spoiled by now. Because they use older films to gauge the merits of all other films that come after they fail to enjoy fairly good films like this one. In an age when everyone's a movie critic it's almost embarrassing to like anything.
Any haughtiness is seen as a sign of intelligence and taste. It's always best to see any film with no expectations, with an open mind, and loads of respect for the actors' performance, and everything else that must come together to make a film such as this.
On this rare occasion I stand on the side of the "real" film critics.
