Review of The Raid (2012) by Knicksfan7 — 14 Apr 2012
This movie is the definition of pure awesome. Gut-wrenching, heart-pounding, gruesome, bloody violence and action all throughout. If you went to see this movie not expecting just that then you clearly didn't watch the trailer or read the synopsis, because that was the whole point of the film, it was to get your heart racing from the nonstop action all throughout and I believe it actually had a pretty good story to it as well.
It had its holes because it didn't explain everything too well, but with a movie like this you arent looking for a genius story, you should be looking for action and ALOT of it. Thats exactly what you get from The Raid: Redemption.
My jaw was on the floor from start to finish. I fell in love with this movie from the very beginning and I was upset when it ended because I just didn't want it to. Best martial arts/ action film period, in a VERY long time.
