Review of The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes (2005) by Private U — 10 Mar 2008
It is a very artistic film. It is hard to know what it was on about. I think that it was a cross between a search for heaven and a virtual reality movie. You could tell that the filmmakers were eccentric. This was probably a good thing if you don't want to be taken on a wild ride. Instead in this film you look at the intricate and fascinating images trying to fathom what the hell it is that you are seeing. Concentration is required as well as a lot of patients. The stunning images make the film worthy.
In one word: Arty.
