Review of The Pact (2012) by Heather H — 12 Jul 2012
If you want real suspense, a story with twists that unfolds at the perfect pace, and actual tension with scary moments, then this is the film for you. While many will be disappointed that no toes are cut off during gratuitous torture scenes...ignore them. They are the generations that confuse scary with gory.
"The Pact" is a good story with surprise after surprise and the little details that make it all come together for full impact. Even the title's meaning becomes clear at just the right time.
Writer/director Nicholas McCarthy is on a very short list of creative film-making geniuses that I will keep an eye out for.
