Solidly entertaining action scenes (that are edited in a way that's clear to follow), and the cast handles the quiet moments well. The villain is a little too ridiculous relative to the rest of the movie, but that's a minor complaint overall.
As an adaptation, it's mostly very loyal to the comic - some of the dialogue is word-for-word - but still has just enough changes to have a few surprises if you've read it. Would have liked to see the crusades and Napoleonic flashbacks from the comic, but this sets up for a sequel so maybe next time.
